Concordia Mission
Our Mission
Concordia Students are Faith Secure, World Ready, Kingdom Leaders.
Dear Concordia Lutheran Schools of Omaha Community,
The Concordia community continues to embrace the opportunities God places before us, including new spaces, such as The Nancy Griffith Worship and Performing Arts Center, and a transitionary period in leadership and the accompanying opportunities for renewal, innovation, and growth. We are continuously strategizing and planning, ensuring we are poised to serve effectively in our community. Our journey of reflection and planning is ongoing as we strive to maximize the blessings and opportunities of the present moment.
Amidst the change, our senior class was led to the “Anchored in Christ” theme for the 2024-2025 school year. Hebrews 6:19 reminds us that our hope in Christ is a strong and steadfast anchor for our souls. New circumstances and opportunities have not changed our vision that all Concordia students should be World Ready, Faith Secure, Kingdom Leaders. From its inception, Concordia has been anchored to Christ, with the mission of sharing His hope with the students we serve.
Our community is blessed to be served by talented educators who share their expertise with students, accompanied by the love of Christ in every lesson and every interaction. The completion of Concordia’s most recent renovation and expansion project and our commitment to thoughtfully studying where God is leading us reflects our community being anchored in Christ. These changes support Concordia’s continuation of the work God has called us into – partnering with families to ensure their children receive a holistic education rooted in God’s Word.
Your partnership in its many forms, including support and prayers, is vital in this transition period. As we craft a brighter future for Concordia, we are thankful for all you do in support our school.
In Christ,
Nathan Domsch
Interim Head of Schools
Congregations
Member congregations of Concordia Lutheran Schools of Omaha support the mission of Christian education through their prayers, financial support, promotion of the schools, and volunteer involvement. Eighteen congregations belong to the association. Each congregation is represented by delegates who have a voice in the Delegate Assembly, which approves the annual budget and elects the Board of Directors. Pastors of the association churches also participate through a Pastoral Advisory Committee.
Most member congregations provide financial support to their member families who enroll their children in the schools by helping with tuition costs. Support typically ranges from $500 to $1,000 per student.
While the current membership of the association is made up of congregations affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), non-LCMS churches may be admitted as associate member congregations. Such congregations may be represented by voting delegates in the Delegate Assembly.
