Student Activities Highlights
Concordia is a member of the NSAA (Nebraska School Activities Association) and the Centennial Conference. Other members of the Centennial Conference include: Archbishop Bergan Catholic, Boys Town, David City Aquinas, Grand Island Central Catholic, Hastings St. Cecilia, Kearney Catholic, Lincoln Christian, Lincoln Lutheran, Scotus Central Catholic, Wahoo Bishop Neumann. Athletic competition is at the Class C-1 or B level depending on the sport. There are many student opportunities for athletics including a few sports that are offered through cooperatives with other schools such as Mercy High School (softball) and Brownell Talbot (swimming and tennis).
Fine Arts are integrated into curriculum opportunities such as band and choir as well as student extracurricular activities. Whether the activity is music, drama, or student leadership, Concordia is committed to excellence.
As Paul says in Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men.”

Concordia Academy (K-5) offers music class as part of the curriculum, elective choir, handbells, chimes, strings (beginning in 3rd grade) and concert band (only for 5th grade).
Drama Department
The Concordia Jr.-Sr. High Musical production is performed in the spring with a full cast, pit orchestra, and backstage crew opportunities, including stage management. Peter Klemp directs the show. Recent shows include Les Miserables, Anything Goes, The Addams Family, Hello, Dolly, and Matilda.
Play Production (NSAA activity) is directed by Chase Winter. Concordia has placed in the top three teams at the Class B State Play Production championships for the last SEVEN years, alongside many other individual and team awards and accolades.
Speech Team (NSAA activity) is coached by Sarah Glover.
