Laurel Revers

Laurel Revers was born and raised in Omaha where she attended Brownell-Talbot. She completed her undergraduate degree at Midland Lutheran College where she was active in a sorority, cheerleading, student ambassadors, and Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society. After college, she was accepted into the CADRE program through the University of Nebraska at Omaha and earned her Masters of Science in Education. She taught sixth grade for Omaha Public Schools until the birth of her first child in 2001. For 9 years, she worked as a substitute teacher for Millard Public Schools.
She was a stay home mom for many years, but worked at Lil Prince and Princess Boutique as the “bow chick” where she designed a line of custom clothing and bows. She also teaches a section of “School of Spool: DIY Sewing Creations” and looks forward to unleashing the inner creative genius in the middle schoolers. She stays active in a women’s prayer group, a bunco group, is a HUGE Concordia sports fan, and UNO hockey fanatic!
She loves reading young adult fiction and is thrilled to share her passion for reading with the middle schoolers.
She has been happily married to her husband, Jason, for 21 years. They have the world’s wimpiest dog and two children who both attended Concordia High School. She is both an educator and mother at heart, so she understands “tween” years and enjoys nurturing those middle school life skills while teaching a love for English!
